2019 Wrap Up
2019 was a good year.
Not a great year, but a good one. I learned a lot in 2019 and I feel good about how I was able to grow as an artist throughout the year. I got back to some traditional art with some pen & ink work and even tackled some acrylic painting for the first time. All in all a good year.
On the last day of the year, I drew this swamp demoness to take with me to FanFest Nashville as part of the original art I will be selling.

I drew this on watercolor paper then finished with pen & ink, watercolor, and some color pencil. I would like to redo this as a painting so that will probably come around later in the year. The piece itself was inspired by looking at art done by Jeff Miracola, not a specific piece but just the mood he creates in his drawings. I love it when I can look at another artist's work and feel inspired to draw.
